A defined product scope
User journeys, acceptance criteria and a prioritized feature list establish what the first release must do. Edge cases and external dependencies are identified before they become expensive surprises.

01. Development
I build custom web applications that turn business workflows into clear, usable software. From customer portals to internal dashboards, I connect the interface, data and integrations your product needs.
The right fit
Custom web application development is the design and engineering of browser-based software around a specific workflow. Unlike a brochure website, an application lets people complete tasks: manage records, submit requests, collaborate or track progress. I work across the frontend and backend so those tasks form one coherent product.
A good fit for businesses replacing spreadsheets, teams improving an existing product, and founders whose core workflow needs more flexibility than an off-the-shelf tool can provide.
From scope to handover
The exact deliverables are agreed around your project. These are the core areas of the service.
User journeys, acceptance criteria and a prioritized feature list establish what the first release must do. Edge cases and external dependencies are identified before they become expensive surprises.
React and Next.js interfaces cover the full workflow, including loading, empty, error and success states. Forms, navigation and layouts are built for keyboard use and different screen sizes.
Database models, server-side validation, authentication and role-based access connect the product to its data. Third-party integrations are scoped around actual API capabilities and failure handling.
Critical user journeys are tested against agreed acceptance criteria. The handover covers source code, environment configuration, deployment instructions and known limitations so the application can be maintained.
Clear decisions, working increments and an agreed release scope.
Identify users, the problem they need to solve and the systems already involved.
Agree on the data model, key screens and the smallest useful version of the product.
Deliver working features in increments and review them against real tasks.
Check access rules, core journeys and deployment before handing over the release.
Selected to fit your requirements and existing systems.
Plan with clarity
The estimate depends on the number of workflows, user roles, integrations, design readiness and any existing data migration. A focused internal tool and a marketplace have very different delivery needs. I define milestones and a release scope before committing to a budget or schedule.
Bring a description of the current process, examples of the screens or tools involved, and the outcome you want to improve. Existing designs, API documentation and a list of essential versus optional features help make the initial scope more precise.

Before we begin
A standard website is usually enough to present information and collect enquiries. A custom application makes sense when users need accounts, permissions, business rules or a workflow that existing website tools cannot support cleanly. I can help assess that distinction before development starts.
Yes. An existing application can be extended after a review of its architecture, dependencies, tests and deployment setup. The first step is to identify which parts can be reused and which issues would make new development fragile.
Public pages can include crawlable HTML, descriptive metadata, canonical URLs and relevant structured data. Private dashboards and account pages have different access and indexing requirements. We decide which pages should be discoverable as part of the architecture.
The release includes the agreed handover documentation. Ongoing maintenance, monitoring and feature development can be scoped separately, with responsibilities and response expectations agreed in advance.
