C2G
Kitchen Conversion Web App
A kitchen conversion app for home cooks and chefs, with ingredient-density conversions, recipe scaling and cooking adjustments.

Overview
C2G brings unit, temperature and pan-size conversions together with recipe scaling, ingredient substitutions and cooking-time adjustments. Ingredient density data supports conversions between volume and weight.
Key Features
Ingredient-aware conversions
USDA-verified density data supports ingredient-specific volume and weight calculations.
Recipe tools
Unit, temperature and pan-size conversions sit alongside scaling, substitutions and cooking-time adjustments.
Typed application stack
Next.js API Routes connect to PostgreSQL through Drizzle. React Hook Form and Zod validate inputs, with TanStack Query and Zustand managing data and state.

The Challenge
Kitchen conversions need more than a single multiplication factor: ingredients have different densities, recipes need scaling, and pan sizes and temperatures change cooking decisions. Those tools need clear inputs and reliable validation.
The Solution
I built a responsive Next.js application backed by PostgreSQL and typed APIs. USDA-verified ingredient density data powers the conversion tools, with validated forms and coordinated state for recipe adjustments.
